1986.11.23 Unintended Accelleration

60 Minutes sensationalized a story about Audi's accelerating on their own, by modifying the accelerator to do that. This segment scared buyers and hurt sales -- but the NTSC confirmed that the brakes overpowered the gas, so the only way this could happen is operator error. You get dumber watching CBS.
